Crystal Springs is proud to announce the first project in the new Village Center at Crystal Springs.
Merry Heart, an experienced operator of a number of nursing homes as well as an assisted living facility in Succasunna, New Jersey plans on developing a new state of the art facility at Crystal Springs. Blanche Bonifacio, the owner of Merry Heart and her family are seasoned operators offering hands-on care to the elderly. The 80,000 square foot facility will include 120 homes. Located off of Wild Turkey Way, this will be the first project located in the Crystal Springs Village Center. It is anticipated that there will also be approximately 100 high-end rental homes built in this section of the village center as well.
While Merry Heart will be the owner and operator, Crystal Springs has been retained to assist with the design and construction of the community. Further Crystal Spring’s renowned Chef Anthony Bucco will be consulting on developing their dinner menu and sommelier Suzanne Lerescu will be advising on their wine list.
Andrew Mulvihill, CEO of Crystal Springs Real Estate states; “While we will not own or operate the Assisted Living facility, we see ourselves as a ‘partner’ with Blanche and her family and will do everything we can to ensure their success. We know the Bonifacio’s are high-quality operators that offer service and facilities on par with the Crystal Springs Resort. We are very fortunate to have them join our resort family.”
What is Assisted Living? A typical assisted living facility resident would usually be a senior citizen who does not need the level of care offered by a nursing home but prefers more companionship and needs some assistance in day-to-day living. Assisted Living facilities provide meals, housekeeping, and medication distribution. Additional services may include assistance bathing and physical therapy. Many facilities have memory care units specializing in care for those with dementia.
While some Assisted Living facilities require a purchase for access, Merry Heart’s is a rental model.
Amenities will include an upscale restaurant, a private dining room, a gym with physical therapy center, a multipurpose room for gatherings and arts & crafts, outdoor garden patio and a spa. Crystal Springs hope to bring its Spa expertise as demonstrated by Elements and Reflections Spa into the design of Merry Heart’s spa.
Assisted Living as a lifestyle choice has been growing throughout the region and people have plenty of choices as to where to go. Merry Heart believes it is critical that they pull out all the stops and design a facility that speaks to 2017 and beyond.
Merry Heart’s reputation for high quality, personal care stems from the leadership of the owner, Blanche Bonifacio, a trained nurse herself who can often be seen roaming the halls of her many facilities. Blanche’s son Julien leads the company in innovation and keeping updated on best practices for compassionate care.
Beyond the standard sitting room, salon, gym and activity rooms, this facility will boast an indoor pool with retractable roof, jacuzzi, sauna, steam room and even a waterslide. Really? Merry Heart has wisely made arrangements with Grand Cascades Lodge so that Merry Heart’s residents may have access during non-peak times to the Tropical Biosphere.
Andrew Mulvihill further comments, “We look at Merry Heart’s Assisted Living as yet another amenity at Crystal Springs. How wonderful to be able to retire to Crystal Springs knowing you can bring your parent(s) along if they need some watching over, but rather than having them in your home, they can be right next door but with all the help they need. How nice to drive two minutes, not two hours, to see your parents! Furthermore, when an aging Crystal Springs couple needs a little help themselves, they no longer have to move out of the community but can age in peace, by moving into the Crystal Springs Assisted Living facility.”
